As Senior Director for Leasing, I oversee the introduction of new retailers and unique concepts to offer an increasingly attractive retail mix for our customers, while supporting our current retailers.

I had the privilege of participating in Mail Champlain’s major transformation and modernization project in 2009–2010, a major redevelopment that remains one of the most beautiful shopping centre renovations in Quebec.

Among my favourite memories is my visit to the very first Les Ailes de la Mode store in Quebec, a real innovation at the time that marked a turning point in the shopping experience. I would also like to point out that Mail Champlain was the first Quebec shopping centre to welcome a Decathlon store in Canada, a milestone in the history of retail.

What particularly resonates with me today is seeing several tenants who were already there in 2009, and even before, and who remain part of the centre. They know their customers inside out and have been able to adapt to evolving consumer behaviours, expectations, and needs. The customer experience is at the heart of their success, and it is largely thanks to them that the centre retains its warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Since its opening, Mail Champlain has always been able to adapt to the needs of its customers. Its presence in the heart of Brossard is an asset to the community, and after 50 years, it is better positioned than ever for the future and major urban developments to come.
