I’ve been visiting Mail Champlain for over 40 years. For me and my family, it has always been much more than just a shopping destination — it’s a gathering place. It’s where we spend quality time together, shop for what we need, share meals, and enjoy the diversity of cultures represented through the stores and experiences offered. Mail Champlain truly has everything we need.

One of my fondest memories is when our Montreal Chan Lion Dance Club was invited to perform at the Chinese New Year celebrations. Every year, our Lion Dance parade fills the mall with energy, bringing together thousands of people from different cultural communities. Seeing families — from small children to elders — smiling, cheering, and receiving the lions’ blessings of good fortune is an incredible feeling. It’s a moment of unity, joy, and cultural pride that reflects the spirit of Mail Champlain itself.

Over the years, I’ve seen the center evolve beyond a simple shopping space. The marketing team has created a place of connection and belonging, where the community can come together. Whether shopping, walking, or simply relaxing with a coffee and a book, I always feel welcome here.

For me, the 50th anniversary of Mail Champlain celebrates not only its longevity but also its role as a hub of culture, community, and togetherness. It’s a place where people connect, traditions are shared, and everyone feels at home. In one word, Mail Champlain is community.
