I have been frequenting Mail Champlain for as long as I can remember, literally since I was in a stroller! This shopping centre has always been part of my life. It was here that I got my first job at age 15, at Van Houtte, on Friday evenings and Saturdays, surrounded by my best friends. That experience marked a turning point for me: it got me interested in the retail business. Later, I continued my career at Les Ailes de la Mode during my years at university.

Today, I’m proud to be the director of this shopping centre where I grew up. I’ve had the privilege of seeing the Mail evolve over the last few decades: from the Distribution aux consommateurs store with its little wooden pencils, to the major renovations that completely transformed the centre. I remember the ceilings with painted clouds, the grass-green vinyl flooring in the food court, and, of course, the movie theatre—memories of another era, but still dear to my heart.

What I love the most is that the Mail Champlain remains a real living space, a meeting hub for the community. Every day, I see regulars who come to walk, chat, or simply enjoy the atmosphere; and I tell myself that the Mail is truly part of people’s daily lives.

For me, the Mail Champlain can be summed up in one word: comforting. It’s a place where generations come together, where we make memories, and where I’ve had the opportunity to forge my path.
