February 17 marks the beginning of a new year in Chinese astrology: we’re celebrating the Year of the Fire Horse! 2026 will be a year of passion, strength, enthusiasm, movement, and action. We invite you to celebrate the start of this New Year in style with us, with an authentic line-up that brings people together! This is a great opportunity for everyone to discover – or rediscover – aspects of Chinese culture.

Detailed Schedule

On Saturday, February 28, we invite you to celebrate the Lunar New Year with us!

  • Noon: Celebrations begin with the traditional Lion Dance, starting at Entrance #1.
  • 12:45 p.m.: Official ceremony with dignitaries in attendance, in the central courtyard.
  • 2 p.m.: The CY Ballet School presents performances of traditional Chinese dances in the central courtyard.
  • 3 p.m.: End of the festivities.

Themed Floral Artwork

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Tsemko Décor will install a Fire Horse-themed floral artwork. The piece depicts a golden horse silhouette surrounded by oversized red flowers. Silk ribbons symbolizing movement, change, and power will complement this entirely handmade creation. Come admire this artwork in the central courtyard.

Happy Year of the Fire Horse to everyone!
